Job Description

Support the Shift lead by the Shift Supervisor on the sample flow by contributing to take care of the samples from the moment they arrive to the Lab till they are ready to be analyzed. During absence of the Sample & Retain Coordinator the role includes registration, classification, storage internally and externally, managing all aspects of retain samples and administration for all incoming and outgoing samples. They will keep the Laboratory Manager informed of pending operations and issues.

Key responsibilities:

Supporting daily Laboratory Shift operations regarding sample collection, distribution, administration and storage;
Reception of the samples which arrive into the Lab in close cooperation with The Sample & Retain Coordinator;
Preparation of composites, blends, and all necessary documentation for the analysis;
Performance of basic test as density or appearance;
Preparation of solvents, refilling consumables on the Lab;
Keeps sample table and sample reception area clean and organized;
Work according internal standards;
Ensuring QHSE processes are being followed (with respect to samples, storage and retention period);
Supports coordination of sample disposal;
Controlling and organizing bunker sample storages;
May be assigned and coordinate special or ad hoc projects as needed

Desirable skills/experience/education

MBO level or similar (obtained by education and/or experience)
Proven time organizational and administration skills and a strong attention to detail.

Ability to work well with others & independently;
Be organized, self-disciplined and flexible to working requirements;
Candidates must demonstrate verbal and written communication skills in English;
Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner;
