In the position of Customs Operator IDC you ensure that all customs and excise activities related to inbound shipments, outbound shipments and stock are performed in a compliant manner. It is also important that you comply with the AEO requirement. Finally, you make sure that all customs and excise related documents are created in an accurate and in a timely fashion.

In this position you will be part of the Customs IDC department, based in Rotterdam, in the heart of this international key port. In this modern office, the department handles the order flow of Wilhelmsen Ships Service warehouses worldwide. Ensuring that they can supply our customers at the port of their choice.

You will be part of the Customs/Customs team. This team consists of a customs specialist and two customs operators. Together you ensure that all customs and excise documents are created for incoming and outgoing shipments. Together you are also responsible for our customs and excise stock administration.

You are a customer and service-oriented person with a hands-on mentality who likes to handle our internal needs in a professional, efficient and correct way. You like to work accurately; you have an eye for detail and working in compliance is important to you. In addition, you are able to work with a varying workload, some days are a bit busier than others. You have good communication skills and adapt easily to different situations. We also assume that you have an affinity with logistics and understand logistical flows. Finally, you have an open character; can make contact with everyone and are eager to learn! This is because we want to train you to be a complete Customs Operator and will offer various tools to become one.

Your main responsibilities are creating customs and excise documents for inbound and outbound shipments. You have the administration around excise well in order and know exactly to which shipment this applies. You are also the source of information for the network in this matter. In addition, you will be responsible for the stock accuracy of both the bonded and excise warehouse / administration. Are there any questions from the warehouse or supplier around excise or T1 documents? Then you are the person to handle it. The workload varies day to day. At the end of the day, you make sure that all requested documents are created and that our administration is accurate.
