Junior (Software) Developer EMEA

We are looking for an enthusiastic junior software developer to join our EMEA IT team. You will report directly to the IT manager and assist with all functions of software coding.

You are an expert in your field and/or have the ambition and potential to become one with a passion to continuously learn and develop and master new technologies. Your primary focus will be to learn the codebase, gather user and application requirements, and respond to requests from the senior management team.
To ensure success as a junior software developer, you should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and basic programming languages, the ability to learn new technology quickly, and the ability to work in a team environment. You as a junior software developer are eager to learn new things and have a hands-on mentality .
Ultimately, a top-class Junior Software Developer provides valuable support to the back-end team while continually improving their coding skills.

• Assisting the development manager with all aspects of software design and coding.

• Gathering information from consumers about program functionality.

Desirable skills/experience/education

• Advanced knowledge of Excel is needed in this role
• Knowledge of basic coding languages including VBA, Python, PHP, and JavaScript.
• Basic programming experience.
• Knowledge of databases, SQL SERVER, operating systems
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
• In possession of driving license B.
• Knowledge of data protection (AVG/GDPR)
• Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail.

Essentials

• EU citizenship and or EU Work Permit;
• Regional team involvement will mean that extended and/or irregular hours will be required.
• Ability to work well with others & independently, without supervision.
• You are available full-time (40 hours a week).
• In possession of driving license B.
• Travel to other/future AmSpec European locations may be required.
• Knowledge of local environment (with attention for wastes), health and safety requirements/legislations
• Ensures full compliance with the company‘s Health & Safety, environmental, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
