Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity for a Human Resources Manager - Europe.
The Human Resources manager Europe is responsible for ensuring that the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of human resources policies and procedures are realized at Valvoline’s locations in Europe. You will be reporting to the Sr. HR Manager EMEA who is based in The Netherlands.
- Developing and administering human resources policies and procedures that relate to all company personnel
- Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions of the HR department in general. Managing the HR employees based in Europe.
- Contributing to the development of the local and European HR department goals and objectives. Ensuring proper implementation of the company’s compensation program. Performing benefits administration. Maintaining affirmative action programs.
- Creating and revising job descriptions. Developing, revising, maintaining and recommending personnel policies and procedures and the employee handbook.
- Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel, including job posting, performing interviews, etc. Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling. Overseeing exit interviews
- Maintaining department records and reports. Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
- Bachelor’s degree or Master degree preferably in Human Resources, Business or Law
- A minimum of 5 years’ work experience
- Knowledge of employment legislation and payroll principles;
- Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards;
- Excellent planning and organization skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues;
- Ability to be effective in a matrix organization;
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred;
- Fluent in English;
- Strong work ethic and sense of urgency, trustworthy and highly ethical
