Railway Logistics Assistant

Join our Freight Forwarding team as a vital member managing daily operations in value-added logistics services, with our own Railway companies as the backbone for an intercontinental service.

This role is not just about handling daily operational tasks; it's a gateway to learning about the complexity of railway logistics, including documentation, resource management and internal coordination.

• Manage the booking service for first and last mile. Prepare and oversee all logistical documentation required for all transport;
• Communicate updates and information daily to clients, ensuring they are informed and engaged throughout the transport process.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to guarantee resource availability to meet the train schedules;
• Proactively address operational challenges, continuously improving processes for more efficient transport solutions;

Demands/Your Profile:

• 1-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain management, with a preference for candidates with railway sector experience;
• Mbo graduate in logistics or supply chain preferrable;
• Exceptional organizational skills and a strong attention to detail;
• Proactive problem-solving approach, comfortable with initiating inquiries and seeking solutions;
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment;
• Proficiency in English and Chinese is mandatory;
• Must be an EU citizen and residing in the Rotterdam area.
