This position supports the European regional IT services and Infrastructure in compliance with local business, safety , health and environment (QHSE) standards (e.g. QSP-19).
This position contributes to the continuous improvement programs of the Global IT function in areas of service delivery, end user knowledge, and cost effectiveness of the IT infrastructure deployed in the region.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Level 2 support for IT system and infrastructure work requests.
- Responsible for problem logging, identification, solution proposal and prioritisation of subsequent work (e.g relating to workstations, servers, firewalls, network, applications, SAP, telecommunications)
- Proactively seek root causes and implement resultant actions when identifying and solving IT related problems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement programs within IT areas relating to service reliability, end user knowledge and understanding and cost effectiveness as part of the wider improvement programs at EU locations.
- Contribute to and be an active member of the global CoE teams and comply with global best practices and processes where possible.
- Contribute to and support the implementation of IT Infrastructure Projects/Enhancements in the region.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of processes and procedures to support the Global Service Desk in providing support to the region.
- Responsible for the change management, implementation and maintenance, of the IT infrastructure and systems employed by Tronox in the region.
- Responsible for executing IT infrastructure and systems preventative and pro-active maintenance procedures. (Daily/Weekly checks)
- Responsible for maintaining up to date network and security administration rights for all approved network users in accordance with local procedures.
- Responsible for control of contractors and vendors on Site performing IT work.
- Responsible for data back up and restoration in accordance with global procedures
- Responsible for day to day workstation management and software delivery/installation and imaging
- Responsible for generating purchase requisitions for and goods receipting in SAP, IT equipment, contract work and consumables
- Responsible for maintaining safe and tidy work area for IT computer room, associated stores and network cabinet locations in accordance with local procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining up to date IT induction training material
- Responsible for communicating and successfully executing IT service outages with minimum disruption to the business.
- Minimum of MBO 4 diploma in relevant Technical discipline or equivalent relevant work experience
- Proven track record of delivering effective customer service focused IT Infrastructure support, preferably within a multi-site manufacturing organization
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of current IT technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Understanding of IT disciplines and technology including; active directory, Windows Operating Systems, DHCP, DNS, patching & cabling, remote support tools, software and hardware deployment & configuration, virtualization technologies and ITIL certification (V3 minimum, V4 preferred).
