This is the role

The Senior Manager, Global AR will assist the Director of Global SSC in overseeing the company"s accounts receivable activities across all regions. This role involves collaborating with Shared Service Center Leaders to manage the AR Team"s activities, assignments, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Evaluation and Standardization: Partner with the Director of Global SSC and the VP of FS&T to assess all AR activities worldwide, aiming to standardize policies and procedures to facilitate automation and create an efficient global AR organization;
Team Development: Coach and guide direct reports, enhancing their knowledge and working together to achieve goals. Foster relationships between team members and business partners, including Global Credit, Supply Chain, Sales, Tax, and the LTC GPO Committee;
Activity Review: Oversee AR activities such as Billing, Cash Application, Sales Rebates, third-party agent commissions, and Miscellaneous accounts to ensure compliance with AR guidelines, improve efficiency, and add value by refining current processes;
Process Improvement: Recommend actions to enhance process efficiency, reducing risks related to late cash applications, invoice corrections, and rebate issuances;
Reporting and Alignment: Present AR results and global KPIs, addressing specific issues in internal meetings to ensure alignment and manage internal customer expectations.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Process Streamlining: Streamline AR processes and teams across different regions;
KPI Monitoring: Monitor current KPIs and ensure appropriate KPIs are in place to identify and address process inefficiencies;
Organizational Support: Assist the Director of SSC in evaluating and optimizing the organizational structure of the Global AR Team;
Resource Evaluation: Assess all resources involved in the AR process to create an efficient Global AR team;
Structural Evaluation: Participate in evaluating structural changes;
Internal Communication: Maintain continuous dialogue with internal customers at all levels, including Credit, Supply Chain Managers, local Finance teams, TAX, and HR;
Process Implementation: Identify and implement appropriate processes to ensure optimal AR results;
Technical Improvements: Stay informed about and recommend technical improvements to AR systems and processes;
Training and Efficiency: Partner with Shared Service Center Leadership to train AR Analysts, improving current activities and creating efficiencies for the Global AR team;
Escalation Point: Serve as the internal focal point for all AR escalated matters, advising on actions to improve results and processes, such as pricing activities;
Strategic Discussions: Act as the primary contact with Sales, Business, Order Fulfillment, and Credit, facilitating strategic discussions on service offerings and joint objectives;
Global Meetings: Participate in global AR team meetings to support global procedures and processes;
Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor direct reports to ensure efficient and effective process delivery in line with corporate policies and compliance requirements;
Team Development: Build and develop a high-performing global team with benchmarked role profiles, skills gap assessments, and a recruitment plan;
Performance Culture: Promote a culture of performance within the team, ensuring the company"s performance management process is followed. Conduct formal performance reviews to provide real-time feedback linked to SMART objectives and goals, and implement development plans to support career aspirations;
Budget Management: Prepare and manage the global AR budget to ensure resources are appropriately allocated to meet process goals.

This is what you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance;
  • 12+ years of experience in finance and strong evidence of leading an operational finance department (for example: Financial Shared Service function, managing a closing process or finance director) in an organization with similar operational scale and geographic footprint;
  • Experience in a global, dynamic and deadline driven environment;
  • Ability to strike the right balance between managing a global team while enabling process improvement opportunities;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required to interact with management, internal counterparties, and suppliers;
  • Requires a high degree of independence in completing job responsibilities with little supervision;
  • Must be able to maintain professional relationships with Business, Procurement, Suppliers and 3rd party partner;
  • Experience with Internal Controls and SOX/404 requirements.
