As a leading player in the commodities sector, our Legal Department is central to ensuring compliant and efficient operations worldwide. Our Rotterdam team is a collaborative and diverse group, dedicated to supporting our EMEA and Dutch entities, while also contributing to our global legal framework, particularly following recent integration activities. We are looking for an engaged Paralegal to join our team.
This position offers more than just administrative tasks; it provides direct involvement in legal operations, offering diverse exposure to legal issues across multiple jurisdictions. A key part of your role will involve organizing, drafting, and managing crucial corporate documents, such as board resolutions. This includes preparing documents for signature and coordinating their execution with external notaries and law firms, ensuring effective completion. You will also provide important support through preliminary legal research and maintaining organized case files for a diverse range of legal matters. Furthermore, you will serve as a key point of contact, facilitating information flow and managing timelines with stakeholders worldwide. Your approach will ensure all documentation is robust and compliant, proactively addressing any potential gaps and upholding our global adherence standards.
We are seeking a proactive individual who is eager to learn and contribute. You should possess:
- Legal Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Law or a Paralegal certification, or an equivalent combination of relevant legal knowledge and work experience. We welcome recent university graduates with a legal background to apply.
- Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, a strong administrative background, and effective organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English is essential. Proficiency in Dutch is a valuable advantage. You should be capable of navigating complex stakeholder relationships.
- Investigative & Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset with strong investigative and problem-solving skills, eager to understand the underlying rationale of tasks.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experienced with document management systems.
- Team Orientation: A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit, eager to contribute to a supportive team environment.
- Industry Context: Experience within the commodities sector is considered a plus, but is not a prerequisite.
- On-site Presence: Preference for working on-site 5 days per week in our Rotterdam office to foster team collaboration.
We offer an environment where you can develop your career and contribute significantly:
- An Impactful Role: A full-time, permanent opportunity where your contributions are genuinely valued.
- Global Exposure: Work with colleagues and stakeholders across different jurisdictions, gaining exposure to international legal issues.
- Supportive Environment: Join a collaborative team where guidance is provided, and autonomy is encouraged.
- Variety & Challenge: Handle a diverse range of tasks, ensuring your work remains engaging and offers continuous learning.
- Professional Development: Opportunities for continuous professional development within a leading global organization.
- Rotterdam Office: Be part of a dynamic and diverse team in our Rotterdam office at Blaak 31.
