As Diving Lead, you will be responsible for managing two dive teams, consisting of three divers and one truck driver/skipper per team. You will ensure that dive operations are carried out properly by these teams. You are also responsible for ensuring that all processes, systems, etc. are set up and followed in such a way that the diving operation runs smoothly. As a Diving Lead your responsibilities include the following:
- Managing the diving department (a total of eight employees);
- Ensuring good cooperation between the diving department and other relevant departments, such as the planning and inspection department;
- Developing, implementing and improving processes in areas such as operations, safety, training, and maintenance within the diving department. In addition, monitoring whether these are followed;
- Taking care of the technical status of the diving equipment and associated truck and workboat in cooperation with the maintenance department;
- Monitoring a safe working environment and encouraging safety awareness among employees;
- Monitoring that all dive operation documentation is in order, such as dive plans, safety documents, dive reports, etc.;
- Ensuring that our dive operation complies with all applicable regulations.
For the Diving Lead position, we require the following:
- Relevant diving certifications:
- Also a B2 certificate to dive up to 30 meters deep with surface-assisted equipment;
- A valid medical diving examination performed by a certified physician B;
- A DMB-B2 certificate (dive medical supervisor B2);
- A dive supervisor B2 certificate
- A minimum of five years of experience within the diving industry;
- A flexible work attitude and a hands-on mentality;
- Experience in managing a team;
- Good command of the English language (C2 level).
